To say that knowing Talia was already in my bed was a turn on was an understatement.

She had been glorious wearing that dress all evening. But I knew what was under that dress would be even better.

Even doing something as mundane as brushing my teeth wasn’t enough to fully quell the hard-on I was sporting. I tried reciting financial ratio equations while flossing. Conjugated verbs in my head in the voice of my incredibly strict eleventh grade German teacher while gargling.

I had all but given up when I flung the bedroom door open to find her in bed wearing the most hideous clothing I’d ever seen.

“What is on your pajamas?” I asked, standing at the foot of the bed.

Talia looked up from her Kindle over the top of her laughably large eyeglasses, as if questioning my appearance in my own room. I didn’t know she wore glasses. But they looked damn cute on her.

“What do you mean?” she asked. “My pajamas are clean.”

“No,” I shook my head, “what is printed on the clothing you have wrapped around your body?”

She tugged a section of fabric away from her body and looked down at the printed image. “It’s a unicorn, Logan. It’s a unicorn with a crown on its head. Don’t be ridiculous.”

“I’m ridiculous?” I tugged at my shirt, pulling it out of my pants. “You’re wrapped in a large, fuzzy, bright-pink monstrosity.”

“They’re my pajamas.”

“They’re an eyesore. I am not sleeping next to a radioactive make-believe creature, sweetheart.”

“Then you can sleep in another bed, darling.”

I glared at her. Talia was truly gorgeous without a stitch of makeup on. But with that getup it was like she was deliberately trying not to look hot.

What did my father used to say about a happy marriage?

Pick your battles.

I let out a sigh. “Fine. You can wear that sex-killer outfit to bed. It’ll be a breeze not to put my hands on you.”

I made a mental note to tell Lane to burn those pajamas when he next did laundry.

“You, on the other hand…” I winked at Talia before I pulled off my shirt.

I was vindicated when I saw her eyes bugging out of her head as she choked on her tongue.

Alright, fine. Perhaps she wasn’t reacting quite like that. She was obviously incredibly good at hiding her blatant desire.

She stared at me with lust. Alright, so it looked more like a glare.

“What are you doing?” she demanded.

“Getting ready for bed.”

I shimmied my hips in a sexy figure eight as I pushed my sweatpants down past my Marc Jacobs briefs.

Talia screwed up her nose and crossed her arms over her chest in an obvious attempt to hold herself back from flinging herself at the sexiest man she’d ever seen. (That was me, in case you hadn’t figured that out.)

“Logan.” She tossed a pillow at my chest, and I caught it with one hand. “Stop undressing.”

“I told you I sleep naked, babycheeks.” I tucked my thumbs into my briefs with a wide smirk on my face. “The show is free.
